This Saturday, June 10, the third stage of the Meo Surf League begins. This time the destination is Praia de Ribeira D’Ilhas, in Ericeira. A beach that Martim Nunes and Gabriela Dinis know well.
“I have surfed here many times in Ribeira d’ilhas. It seems that the sea will be small, but I hope it will be the best championship possible”, explains Martim Nunes, 19 years old, leader of the classification of the youngest of the Liga Meo Surf.
The test that starts this Saturday depends on a matter of instinct. “When the sea is like this, it’s a matter of not wasting opportunities. I only leave the sea with Vasco Ribeiro [rival na liga], we’ve been surfing a bit. It’s about putting your foot on the board, feeling the wave and trying to be ready.”
In the men’s group, the surfers Guilherme Ribeiro and Vasco Ribeiro lead, but Martim Nunes promises to fight.
