The Denver Nuggets won their first North American Basketball League (NBA) championship title on Monday, beating the Miami Heat 94-89 at home in the fifth game of the final, which they won 4-1 .
The Colorado team, which at half-time was down 51-44, had already won the first game (104-93), also at home, and the third (109-94) and fourth (108-95), both in Miami, having they lost only the second, in Denver (111-108).
The Nuggets, who had never been in a final, denied the fourth title to the Heat, who had already triumphed in 2006, 2012 and 2013, being sixth in the ranking, led by the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, both with 17 trophies.
