British fintech Revolut wants to move up a notch. In any case, this is the position shown by the company with the announcement of its new Ultra service, “a definitive platinum card with no equivalent in Europe” according to its press release. The card itself is “platinum plated,” Revolut explains.
Revolut already offers four types of subscriptions: Standard, Plus, Premium and Metal, each with its specificities. The “Ultra” offer aims to position itself above these already existing offers by offering, in particular, advantages for trips and subscriptions to various services.
“Cancellation for any reason”
Subscribers to the Metal offer may, for example, benefit from “Cancellation for any reason” insurance that allows a trip to be canceled for any reason, although specific conditions apply in each case. Coverage is also provided for medical attention, lost luggage or delayed flights, worldwide.
The new Revolut card, which works with Mastercard, also has advantages in terms of additional subscriptions. The service allows, for example, to obtain a subscription to the NordVPN private network service.
Launched in France at a price of 55 euros per month (with a discount for the first three months), Revolut wants to expand its French customer base. 45,000 French people have already signed up for the Ultra offer waiting list. Worldwide, Revolut now has more than 30 million customers, including 2.5 million in France.
