It is the end of an era, although it already seemed very far away. On its site, Skyrock radio announces the end of its Skyblog blog network, created in 2022. It will go offline permanently on August 21.
Disappearance of many contents.
On June 22, the French group Kyo had just announced the creation of a skyblog to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album “Le chemin”. In fact, the end of the skyblogs implies the disappearance of an immense number of publications -more or less confessable- of Internet users, when they were teenagers. A disappearance lamented by many Internet users on Twitter.
In order not to lose their old memories, each former user is invited to save all images and texts published on their skyblog.
The Skyblog team recalls that their platform became the 17th most visited site in the world in 2007. A peak audience that preceded a rapid decline, before the rise of MySpace, then Facebook.
