Esport: French Dina is crowned Olympic champion in “Just Dance”

Three times champion of France in just danceand world runner-up in 2016, TheFairyDina, aka Dina, is now an Olympic champion.

Amandine Morisset, better known as “TheFairyDina” -or simply Dina- has just been crowned Olympic champion in just danceon the occasion of the first Olympic Games dedicated to esports in history, this Friday, June 23.

“It’s for all the women who play video games, who play just dance. You are capable, you are worth it. This game is awesome. It changed my life in the most beautiful and incredible way. I couldn’t be more proud, it’s a dream,” said TheFairyDina after her win.

The jury in your pocket

“It was TheFairyDina who struck first in the best-of-three final, winning the jury’s vote for the first song. […] The Frenchwoman also won the second song of the final, which allowed her to be sure of leaving Singapore as the first winner of the Olympic Esports Series ”, summarizes the official site of the Olympic Games about this final.

TheFairyDina was already three times champion of France on just dance, and vice world champion in 2016. With Tech&Co, who met her shortly before the start of these Esport Olympic Games, the champion explained her apprehension about the game format, which was done with a controller and not simply with the camera as it is usual. The apprehensions were obviously quickly dispelled, as the young herself brilliantly won this first final.

These first esports Olympic Games began on June 22 and will continue until June 25.
