There is still time to enjoy The last of us on Prime Video. In an email, some subscribers to the Amazon streaming platform were warned that the series adapted from the video game of the same name would leave the Prime Video catalog as of July 15. This was shown by the journalist Stéphane Bauza in Twitterseen by numeral.
In a few days, the nine episodes of the first season -already renewed- will be added to Warner Pass. This paid supplement (9.99 euros per month) gives access to HBO content from the beginning of the year, such as game of Thrones, sex and the city either Euphoria.
Distribution at no additional cost for six months
the exit of The last of us it had raised concerns about where the series would be legally available in France. As of January 1, HBO content had simply disappeared from French platforms following the end of an exclusive contract with OCS. By the way, Canal+ had taken over the platform, but without offering a solution to watch HBO series.
It was not until January 12 that the information fell: Prime Video was going to broadcast The last of us, whose first episode premiered just three days later. The announcement also mentioned the creation of the Warner Pass as of March 17. Meanwhile, Prime Video subscribers have been able to benefit from the adaptation of the video game at no additional cost.
But as of July 15, six months after the first broadcast of The last of us, the exception will terminate. The HBO series will comply with the Warner Pass rule, which will truly become the only way to access the creations of the American television channel.
