‘Five gigatacos is impossible’: YouTuber Alan FoodChallenge admits to faking videos

The “crazy eater”, who has been chaining “challenges” for several years that consist of eating as much as possible, recognized certain cuts in his videos, causing an avalanche of hatred against him.

The video was to put an end to the controversy. It will end with dozens of masked calls, insults galore on social media, and hundreds of unclaimed pizzas.

This Sunday night, the youtuber Alan FoodChallenge launched a live broadcast on the Twitch platform to respond to the accusations of another videographer, Théo Malini, who accused him of manipulating his videos.

The beginning of the Alan FoodChallenge chain: devouring astronomical amounts of junk food: 40 cheeseburgers, 50 quesadillas, 20 hot dogs… The holy grail? Gigatacos, tacos weighing more than two kilos, filled with sauce, meat and French fries. Last month, Alan FoodChallenge claimed to have devoured five in a row. A “feat” that he now recognizes as false.

“Out of 450 YouTube videos, I’ll be honest with you, there are three fake ones,” he explained to his viewers on Sunday. “I think you know, it’s an impossible thing to do, that it’s huge, that it weighs 16 kg (…) then the 5 gigatacos video, in fact, there was a cut for two days: I started at night and finished the next day” , says.

“Sick in the Middle of Filming”

The other “fake” refers to the one revealed by Théo Malini, and dated 11 months ago. “I had made a video where I got dizzy in the middle of filming,” Alan explains. “For once, since it had been a product placement (…) I had to make the video and cheat a bit.”

“I do not like it anymore”

The last one refers to a whole kebab skewer, which he had delivered to his house.

If he took advantage of this mea culpa to devour his gigatacos again, he will only settle for one and a half.

The direct also ended quite badly, between the mess of insults on social networks, the hidden calls that multiplied on his phone and the more or less fine jokes during the broadcast… and dozens of pizza orders that went to the place where it was. she was filming

Contacted by Tech&Co, Alan FoodChallenge had not yet responded on the morning of July 10.
