Rare are the months without Poupette Kenza not appearing at least once in the Twitter trends. This Rouen influencer with 1.6 million followers on Snapchat (nearly as many on TikTok and Instagram) has apparently made her propensity to make noise in her business.
In her stories, usually several dozen an hour, the 23-year-old offers an ultra-detailed look at her daily life for herself and her family, through good times and bad.
Custody and investigation
Last episode: the thunderous announcement, not without animosity, of his alleged fine received by the DGCCRF for an amount of 50,000 euros for “not having indicated the true commercial intention of the content for which [sa] company received compensation”, not to mention the illegal nature of the placement of a tooth whitening product, the sale of which is prohibited in France.
This episode of deceptive commercial practices is nothing more than the continuation of the reprehensible conduct of which Poupette Kenza, Kenza Benchrif by her real name, has been accused for several months.
One of the most notable facts is the accusation of abuse and child pornography against him. Last February, Kenza Benchrif was thus placed in police custody for “abduction by the parent of a minor without legitimate reason for his legal obligations, compromising his health, safety, morals or education” after having shown in a story that his son he injured his head without reacting. .
A visit to the hospital later, the young woman was taken into police custody, quickly released before the opening of an investigation. At the moment, there is no information indicating that it has been closed.
Capture of the prosecutor by deputies
And that’s not counting the child pornography allegations that followed last May. Two deputies, Sarah Tanzili and Bruno Studer, arrested in particular the Rouen public prosecutor for negligence and publication of child pornography images after Poupette Kenza spread on social networks videos of her daughter “scratching her buttocks” or “naked on panties in a lewd position on an armchair”.
Videos that would have quickly landed on child pornography sites. Something to think about for the influencer, who will ensure that she has taken measures to further protect her children by exposing them less on her social networks.
Sons, it was also discussed in June 2023 with a new accusation against Poupette Kenza. On this occasion, she is accused of having participated in the embezzlement of a minimum of 200,000 euros for an orphanage in Morocco.
The association in charge of the orphanage, Atlas Kinder, then indicated that it wanted to file a complaint for breach of trust and embezzlement, but also for defamation and harassment. After dozens of stories and publications on one side and the other, the association finally indicated in early July that it had reached an agreement with the influencer and her cousin, also involved in the case.
500,000 followers in a few hours
Another fact that Poupette Kenza is criticized for: its (frequent) placements of products of all kinds. A few days ago, the influencer was, for example, promoting laser hair removal in a specialized center. Problem: promoting this type of practice is prohibited since the promulgation of the influencers law. Article 4 establishes that the promotion of “acts, processes, techniques and methods for aesthetic purposes” is prohibited.
In January 2023, another product placement was also controversial, this time for an intimate musk, which is supposed to neutralize body odor, all in the company of her three-year-old daughter.
An announcement that inevitably did not stop giving people talk, especially with the participation of rapper Booba, who has been fighting what he calls “influencers” for several months.
A product placement that will be quickly followed…by a suspension of the influencer’s Snapchat account. Even if nothing proves a correlation between the two events, it’s still a “drama” for Poupette Kenza. Through tears, she announces on Instagram that it is “impossible to sleep” and that “it’s like a part of her has been ripped out.”
