Faced with the fall in popularity of its ChatGPT service, after a historical madness when it went online, the American company specialized in tools based on artificial intelligence (AI) OpenAI has just added a professional version.
Launched on Monday, ChatGPT Enterprise should give companies access to an improved version of the chatbot, associated with a higher level of security and respect for data compared to previous versions.
The issue of data security has become central as several major groups, including Apple, Amazon, and Samsung, have banned their employees from using ChatGPT for fear of revealing sensitive data.
Making teams “more creative and productive”
The professional version of ChatGPT is similar to Bing Chat Enterprise, already offered by Microsoft and based on OpenAI technology, which has signed an important agreement with the group. Like ChatGPT Plus, the paid version of the service for the general public, it will feature GPT-4, the latest AI model from OpenAI.
The launch comes as ChatGPT fails to capitalize on its launch boom, which made it the fastest-growing app to reach 100 million users before the arrival of X’s rival Threads. /Twitter by Meta, earlier of the summer.
According to SimilarWeb, ChatGPT usage dropped 10% in June and then the same amount again in July, a drop that can be attributed to the summer holidays.
OpenAI is also facing increasing resistance from the media and other platforms, including X or Reddit, which now prevent the company’s exploration tools from using their data to train their AI.
