It has become a custom for several years: the Apple keynote is now an opportunity for the brand to present not a single model, but several variations. As in 2022, the new batch arrives with four models: the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Here are the differences to remember.
The iPhone 15
This is Apple’s “basic” model. And it has already become customary, it is more or less the Pro version of the previous generation for a more affordable price. The iPhone 15 offers a 6.1-inch screen and inherits the famous Dynamic Island, which replaces the camera notch.
On the photographic side, the iPhone 15 also uses the 48 Mpx main sensor of the iPhone 14 Pro, associated with a 12 Mpx ultra wide angle. It also benefits from the A16 Bionic chip, again inherited from the iPhone 14 Pro. The other big novelty, which actually affects the entire new iPhone range, is also the appearance of a USB-C charging port.
Finally, the iPhone 15 comes in four acid colors (pink, green, blue, yellow and black) and offers a first price of less than 1,000 euros: 969 euros for the 128 GB version, or 50 euros less than the iPhone 14 when it came on the market. .

The iPhone 15 Plus
The model is simply identical to its little brother, the iPhone 15: same camera, same chip but with a larger screen. The diagonal goes from 6.1 inches to 6.7 inches. In fact, prices are also increasing for this version.

The iPhone 15 Pro
Logically, it is the iPhone 15 Pro that arrives with the main new features from Apple. There is also room for USB-C here, but in terms of design, there is no real revolution compared to the iPhone 14. With a diagonal of 6.1 inches, the iPhone 15 Pro offers a very bright panel, while on the On the back we find the triple photographic module. and the dynamic island in front.
Small novelty (in weight), the stainless steel of the chassis has been replaced with titanium, which significantly lightens the phone.
Another novelty for the Pro range: the Action button, a small side button, located above the Volume buttons, which replaces the old switch to go to mute. Customizable, it can play the role of a super shortcut.
In terms of photography, the iPhone 15 Pro also takes a step forward by improving its 48 Mpx sensor, with a 12 Mpx telephoto lens. Finally, the iPhone Pro arrives with an A17 Pro chip, the first recorded in 3 nm, which will introduce more artificial intelligence to improve the performance of the smartphone.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max
This is Apple’s very high-end product, for video professionals or the wealthiest Apple fans. The iPhone Pro Max is the summary of what the brand can do with a larger diagonal than the pro version (6.7 inches versus 6.1 inches).
If it has the same features as its little brother, the Max arrives with a x5 optical zoom on the rear (compared to the x3 of the pro). In practice, the maximum focal length reaches 120 mm compared to 77 mm for the Pro version. This “detail” may not interest ordinary people, but rather video professionals. It also has a cost since the Max is evidently the most expensive in the range.
