The video game studio CD Projekt Red has hinted that the time has finally come to give its game Cyberpunk 2077 of a sequel. The title, which suffered a catastrophic launch due to too many bugs and a console version that was not up to par, almost three years after its release, finally regained its reputation thanks to a version 2.0 and DLC. ghost freedom, which convinced the players.
According to Gabe Amatangelo, game director at CD Projekt Red, these are the latest big additions that will benefit Cyberpunk 2077“before Cyberpunk 2, or the Orion project, whatever we call it,” he declared to the specialized media PC Gamer.
In this sense, the Polish studio half-confirmed its desire to offer a sequel. Until now, a possible “Cyberpunk 2077 2” was mentioned under the name “Project Orion”. The studio had already mentioned this sequel for the first time in October 2022, through a tweet.
The studio therefore has no intention of continuing to boost the recent success of its game and is already thinking about the future.
A long development ahead
Of course, no information has yet been leaked about this new work, which probably will not see the light of day for a long time. Initially, Cyberpunk 2077 It was presented during a trailer in 2013. Its premiere, totally chaotic, took place in 2020.
