This is what we call a group of champions. Yvette (83 years) and Daniel (84 years), all two venus of the senior residence Domitys de Laillé (Ille-et-Vilaine), tenteront de triompher à leur tour au trophée national senior de Wii Bowling, qui aura lieu la semaine prochaine in Paris. They hope to be worthy heirs of last year’s winners (Marcel and Monique), coming from the same Breton residence.
“Their passion, dedication and skill in this field are exemplary and show that age is not a barrier to playing video games and excelling in this field,” enthuses Domitys, a member of the Silver Geek association, which organizes the tournament.
“12 strikes in a single game”
The duo earned their ticket to the finals in Paris by becoming regional champions of their virtual sport last May. “I am capable of scoring 12 goals in a single game,” Daniel confidently assured France Bleu. The outlet also specifies that they are roommates with the current title holders, Marcel and Monique.
See you now in the capital, during Paris Games Week, from November 1 to 5. Last year, the senior (over 65) tournament took place in a lively atmosphere. Marcel and Monique then dominated their competitors François and Roger. “At our age, it’s fun for us to play video games because we’ve never played them in our lives,” Monique explained to BFMTV.
It’s Yvette and Daniel’s turn to follow the same path and take the cup home.
