Learn, in detail, the Characteristics and physical conditions of each athlete. It can help clubs and coaches make the most of each person’s strengths and achieve the best results for the entire team on the field. This is how Pedro Ramos and Bernardo Galego defend it. Together they recently founded DETU TECH, company specialized in human mobilitywho created what they call FOXG1. A type of vest with technology that collects information about athletes of all types of sports with the aim of improving the performance of each person.
“Our solution, instead of installing it on each player, proposes a focus on each field. This means that the more players and athletes who train and play on each field where we have the technology installed, the lower the cost will be. Our idea is that Not only first division teams have access to this type of technology, but all levels, including training,” he explained to TSF Pedro Ramos.
Sporting de Braga welcomed the pilot project of this idea with open arms. It is being tested in The younger layers, the training and, above all, indoor soccer.where currently most teams only use video data analysis.
“Especially at the training levels we see a lot of recognition. The players feel important when they use our technology. In the case of futsal, there is no solution similar to ours. The only alternative is video analysis. They feel that it is an improvement”. It’s too late and the sooner we have a final version of our product working with them, the better,” said the founder of FOXG1.
In the Portuguese market the reception has been “a little conservative”, so the web summit is being seen as a opportunity to gain international visibility. In these first two days, the two young entrepreneurs have already had the opportunity to address sports companies from Brazil, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.
“Our approach is largely to offer a tool that not only improves and facilitates the work of the coaches, but also serves the entire technical team. We are collecting data that can be used by the medical team, for example, in the prediction and prevention of injuries. and even their recovery, when necessary. At the same time we are also thinking about a version in which the data is available and democratized for the players. They are not an asset of the team, of the sports institution, but information that players can also use in the form of reports,” he added.
