Vibo Health wants to help people detect diseases earlier. In about ten seconds, a smart device measures, for example, blood glucose levels, preventing diabetes. All quickly, painlessly and non-invasively.
“Our software is able to tell you how you are doing each day or each week. It’s completely non-invasive, it reads things like glucose, using a technology that people know as ‘imaging,'” he explains to TSF Gil Travish, CEO and founder of Vibo Health.
Performing this “check-up” is simple: just insert your finger into the device and in just over ten seconds you will receive the result. “The device gives a score, which can be improved through diet, exercise or nutrition, or alerts for prediabetes or high cholesterol, which are silent killers,” he notes.
When a warning is issued, the recommendation is to go to the doctor.
This scanner is still in development, but the long-term goal is to be available everywhere, from the workplace to gyms to pharmacies, so people can monitor their health.
This is just a “simple analysis”. “We don’t make the diagnosis itself, we leave that to health professionals, but we can give guidance on what to do. If they have already been diagnosed, we can make updates,” he says.
With this project, Vibo Health wants to “play an important role, especially in the search for what is called the ‘pre-patient’, before entering the health system.”
There is still no date for the launch of this device, but Gil Travish believes that everything could be ready in two years. “It depends on fundraising,” he confesses.
Vibo Health is located in Los Angeles, United States, and in Portugal, through the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN), in Coimbra, which is also involved in the development of this device that promises to track everyone’s health intelligently.
