Instagram will soon let you schedule your posts

The Meta group app has configured (yet) a new feature. But this one could well be useful for content creators.

Instagram never stops integrating new options. After the passage of stories from 15 to 60 seconds or the display of photos in “Reels” format (already abandoned), the social network wants to allow users to program their publications. A way to discourage them from using third-party applications.

An option in preparation for several months.

Rumors about this new feature have been circulating since last August. Some Internet users had shared screenshots showing the future option of scheduling all kinds of posts on the platform (images, carousels, Reels).

Indeed, until then it was impossible to schedule your posts directly on the Meta group’s social network. However, live video scheduling is possible from October 2021. In this way, users can schedule a live broadcast up to 90 days in advance and offer their audience reminders before the event.

Depending on the various users who are already in possession of the update, it should be possible to schedule their posts within twenty minutes and up to 75 days from the date of scheduling.

Instagram wants to prevent the use of other applications

This new option should allow content creators to no longer turn to third-party apps, like the Meta group’s Creator Studio. But this tool, which also allows you to manage your Facebook account, only offers the possibility to plan your posts on Instagram business or Creator accounts.

People who want to schedule their posts can also use competitor apps like AgoraPulse or Hootsuite. From now on, users will only need to prepare their post as usual and go to the advanced settings where the option “Schedule this post” will be available.

Currently, the feature is still in the testing phase and is only available to certain users.
