Cyberbullying: Accused of being a “pack leader”, Booba will file a complaint against Magali Berdah

Booba’s lawyers point out that the rapper must be, like any citizen, “presumed innocent.” He is currently under judicial supervision for aggravated moral harassment.

Booba retaliates. On March 19, Magali Berdah celebrated the conviction of 28 of his cyberbullies and deplored that the rapper had not yet been convicted. The director of the agency Shauna Events believes that Elie Yaffa, his real name, is at the origin of the cyberbullying of which she was a victim. Disagreeing with Magali Berdah, Booba decided to file a complaint against him.

Booba under judicial supervision

The influencers’ agent is therefore the subject of a complaint for defamation, but also for breach of the presumption of innocence. “Booba’s lawyers point out that the procedure initiated by Magali Berdah is still ongoing and that Booba must be, like any citizen, presumed innocent until the end of the procedure,” they declare.

After launching a crusade against those he calls “influvoleurs” in 2022, Booba believes that he is not responsible for the cyberbullying of which the influencer agent was a victim. For the rapper, this accusation of “pack leader”, “which would consist of holding a complainant or a public figure responsible for individual behavior” lacks legal basis.

It should be noted that this is not the first complaint that the rapper has filed for defamation against Magali Berdah, as her lawyers point out. While he was charged and placed under judicial supervision for “aggravated moral harassment,” the director of Shauna Events claims that he continues to target her in messages on X (formerly Twitter).

“Magali Berdah is in no way guilty of defamation. After the massive cyberbullying she suffered and which led to the conviction of 28 people and the opening of a judicial investigation, we intend to prevent her from testifying with a new silence procedure. She will not keep silence and we will continue to tirelessly denounce the scourge of cyberbullying,” reacted Magali Berdah’s lawyers, Rachel-Flore Pardo, Antonin Gravelin-Rodríguez and David-Olivier Kaminski, from Tech&Co.
