Who can boast of knowing all the possibilities offered by iOS 16? Available from September 2022 and already well-stocked with content, the latest version of Apple’s operating system offers many features that are not widely recognized by the general public. Here are five that are worth the detour.
1. Home Screen Background Blur
In iOS 16, among a number of new features, Apple introduced the “Blur” option. Purpose: Fix home screen wallpaper issues by blurring the background image. This option is beneficial in the case of using a too bright wallpaper, which can blur the readability of the icons, or in a situation where the icons are misplaced in a photo.
- Open the “Settings” app and then scroll down to select “Wallpaper”

2. View and copy Wi-Fi password

Scheduling an email to be sent is a particularly handy but little-known feature in iOS 16. To perform this action:
- Open the “Mail” application and press the button that allows you to write a new email
- When the message is ready, press and hold the Send button displayed at the top right of the screen. Different options are available: “Send now”, “Send tonight at 21:00”, “Send tomorrow at 08:00”, “Send later”
- Tap “Send Later.” A calendar appears and all you have to do is choose the date, then the time the email should be sent. All that remains is to confirm this choice by clicking “OK”.
4. Customize notification display
With iOS 16, notifications appear at the bottom of the screen, stacked on top of each other. The top of the slab is due to the time and widgets. However, it is quite possible to override this setting for users who do not like it.
- In “Settings” go to the “Notifications” section. Three display modes are offered here: “Stack”, “List” and “Account”. The user then chooses the screen that suits him best.
