Razer Freyja: the cushion that allows you to feel the actions in games is available

This September 28, Razer announced the commercialization of its haptic feedback cushion presented at CES 2024.

Razer wants us to experience the game as if we were on the screen. This promise, issued at the beginning of the year during CES 2024 in Las Vegas, was then just a code name: Project Esther. But a few months later, the product has an official name, it is Razer Freyja.

The manufacturer also announces the marketing of this cushion that can be placed on any office chair and has haptic feedback. Specifically, it vibrates based on the action on the screen. Therefore, you will be able to feel the shots, explosions or even the blows that you send.

Experience the game thanks to haptic feedback

A selection of games offer native compatibility (about twenty, Razer promises us), this is the case of Hogwarts Legacy, Final Fantasy XVI, Frostpunk 2 or even silent hill 2but it also allows you to use it in all the games you own. The cushion will then take the sound signal into account and adapt accordingly. It can also be used in movies and to listen to music.

More than a seat with a lot of physical movement, and which is sometimes very expensive, the Freyja aims to be more accessible and above all much more practical, since you only have to place it on a seat (thanks to its wide straps) and plug it in. to a diet.

On this topic, Tech&Co was able to get closer and could see that Razer designed the cable so that it could be easily disconnected. In case of sudden movement of the player, it does not break. Communication with the PC is carried out through Hyperspeed Wireless technology, which guarantees almost zero latency.

Razer also offers Bluetooth support, allowing you to connect the Freyja with a smartphone and benefit from haptic feedback.

To benefit from what may or may not be considered a gadget, you will have to pay a small sum: the Razer Freyja is now available for 299.99 euros.
