Black Friday Week, an important time for year-end shopping with great promotions, has barely begun when Paypal, one of the main online payment platforms, is the victim of a global outage.
Can’t connect and make payments
The Downdetector site shows numerous reports related to problems connecting to Paypal and therefore initiating a possible payment. On social networks, complaints come from several countries, including France.
On its support page, Paypal reports an issue “being resolved” that affects both account access and payment, as well as the cryptocurrency service. Paypal’s API is also affected: “Sellers may have problems using our development tools,” explains the platform.
However, this interruption appears to be subsiding, although it occurred around 12:30 French time.
