“Enough!” On November 16, 2024, Olivier Bianchi, mayor of Clermont-Ferrand, reported on X (formerly Twitter) the spread on social networks of a video created by artificial intelligence showing his “crushed” head. He also indicated his intention to report a video to the prosecutor.
Other members of the municipal team also appear in the sequence, crushed by hands or by a press, as well as an elected environmentalist, whose head was cut off with a knife. A creation that led to the arrest of its alleged author, a 17-year-old young man, the Clermond-Ferrand prosecutor’s office told Tech&Co, confirming information from La Montagne.
Tech&Co, the Clermont-Ferrand prosecutor’s office confirms that the Internet user in question was released on November 27 at the end of the day, but that his computer equipment was kept for exploitation purposes.
According to Olivier Bianchi, the author of the video, whose Twitter account has been deleted, as Tech&Co points out, was also the moderator of a Facebook page called “Saccage Clermont-Ferrand”.
As La Montagne recalls, the young man could be prosecuted for insulting people in public power or accused of a public service mission.
