A student develops an AI to “deceive everything” and collects $ 5.3 million

The Startup Cluelley has developed a tool that allows users to “deceive everything”, for example, during exams or work interviews.

$ 5.3 billion. This is the sum that Chungin Lee, 21 managed to raise for his startup, Cluelley. The concept? Implement an AI tool capable of “deceiving everything.”

It all started last March, when the student shares in X, Ex-Twitter, a publication in which he explains that he developed with a friend “coding interviewer”, a tool to cheat during video hiring interviews to become an engineer. And it works: Chungin Lee receives Meta, Tiktok or Amazon offers.

“I thought I had ruined my career”

Then he shares a YouTube video throughout the hiring process and especially in the trick system … that he does not like Amazon at all that he warns of school. As a result, the student and his acolyte are suspended by Columbia University.

But since then, the two students have recovered. Its publication, seen by 3 million Internet users, allowed you to attract the view of investors and raise $ 5.3 million abstract ventures and Susa Ventures for your company Cluel.

The tool they develop now allows users to cheat during exams, commercial calls and work interviews, thanks to a hidden window in the browser, invisible to the examiner.

If it is possible to test the AI for free, the company also offers an “pro” offer to $ 20 per month to see the complete response and access the latest models and developments.

“Cheat everything”

“We want to cheat everything,” explains the company in place. “We have designed clolly so that you never have to think alone. He gives you real time answers. While others guess, you are already right. (…) And yes, the world will call it trap. But the calculator also, the spelling corrector too and Google too.”

In a video, you can also see the founder using his AI tool to lie, without success, a woman. The AI then invented the knowledge of art during an appointment in a restaurant.

As expected, the video divided users. “Imagine creating a short film like Black Mirror as advertising,” writes one of them. “This is a perfect illustration of the reason why AI should not serve as a mediator in human interactions.” “This is the best release video,” adds one last.
