“I was reduced to silence.”

The influencer believes that his Tiktok account has been “unjustly banished” and refutes the accusations made by Minister Aurore Bergé against him.

“I was reduced to silence without any explanation.” In a statement sent to the media, this Sunday, May 18, Adrien Laurent, known by his name of the influencer Ad Laurent, challenges the abolition of his Tiktok account, after the accusations made against him by the Minister of Equality between women and men, Aurore Bergé.

According to the latter, who wrote to the president of Tiktok France to request the abolition of the influencer account, the publications shared on social networks by Ad Laurent “contribute to anchor a culture of hypersexualization and submission of women”, “nourish harmful gender stereotypes” and “participate in the trivialization of sexual violence.”

The day after this letter, Ad Laurent’s account was eliminated by Tiktok. A decision that the influencer, which was released by participating in reality television programs and becoming pornography, disputes in her press release, saying that she was “unjustly banished.”

Ad Laurent refutes the accusations of “misogyny”

“Firmly distributed all these serious accusations that hurt me deeply, since they are unfair and damage to my entire community,” refutes ad laurent.

“I am not masculinist, misogynist or sexist. I have never treated justice. My words have never intended to hurt or minimize both the place and the dignity of women,” he adds. Adrien Laurent was never sentenced by justice, but a complaint of rape against him was filed in March 2024 in Paris, for acts dating from 2018 and had taken place in Australia. He remains innocent.

Regarding the elimination of his Tiktok account, Ad Laurent said in his press release that his lawyer wrote to Aurore Bergé, as well as the president of Tiktok France, “to restore the contradictory” that he considers that he was not granted. “I regret that censorship and lack of dialogue avoid a constructive discussion on important issues for young people,” concludes Ad Laurent.
