Stimulate device sales: goal will open physical stores

Meta plans to extend its presence in trade and open physical stores. An already successful strategy by Apple.

Come and compete with Apple in your own land. As Business Insider, goal (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) reports, plans to extend its presence in trade and open physical stores.

At the moment, goal has only one physical sales area, the goal store, opened in 2022 on its campus in California. In the store, visitors can try some of the group’s products, such as VR Meta Quest Helmets and Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. Last year, the technological giant also opened an emerging store in Los Angeles to present their smart glasses.

Increase the sale of devices

And that is the goal objective: increase sales of its devices. Last year, in an internal memorandum, Andrew Bosworth, director of Technology of the group, had explained that the company was responsible for “stimulating sales, loyalty and commitment.” Especially because goal could launch half a dozen other accessories supplied by AI this year.

The group expects to implement several stores worldwide. The number of points of sale and locations are not yet known.

Many of the technological giants have opted in physical stores … with more or less success. This is, for example, Apple’s case. The Cupertino company has made the sale of the store an important element of its strategy. It has more than 500 stores in the world, designed to allow consumers to explore the product range and interact with the brand.

For his part, Amazon opened his first store in 2015 and developed several brands, such as Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go. But the company reduced the number of its stores in 2024.
