The ears of heads screwed in the head and Twitchcon pass around the neck, conversations between video game specialists are already abounding in some subway stations in the Rotterdam Ahoy event room. The Dutch city welcomes the annual agreement organized by the American Transmission Platform Twitch this weekend this weekend.
“I started to see Twitch during confinement and I love to transmit the transmission while working in cosplays,” said AFP Larissa, 24 -year -old Dutch, who came to meet the creator of the fantastic characters in which he is inspired. Thousands of fans have made the trip
Like Larissa, thousands of fans came from all over Europe to obtain an autograph and interact with their favorite creators, but also attend video game competitions such as Fortnite and Elden Ring, directed on the Twitch Stars stage.
“Most of the work done on Twitch is online … You are transmitting with other people, you spend many hours a week with your community,” explains Mary Kish, director of TWitch community marketing. “What is happening on Twitchcon is the culmination of all this good will and all this joy in person during an agreement, and the energy is electric,” continues the 39 -year -old American.
The French creators of the platform, JL Tomy and Star, the full -time streamers that have 1.3 million and 1.2 million subscribers respectively, also made the trip. “There are many other couple streamers that are like me, it allows you to meet, leave a little.
Bought in 2014 by Amazon for around 842 million dollars, Twitch is presented as the largest worldwide transmission platform of the theme of video games, with more than 2.5 million visitors on average per hour.
