The RN asks a company to analyze the social networks of its future candidates in case of early legislative

With the possibility of a new solution, the national rally wants to avoid controversies around its possible representatives scanning the slightest trace of the latter on the Internet.

The threat of a new solution of the Assembly is no longer impossible from next week. And it is a worrying horizon for the government of François Bayrou in autumn. Given this possibility, the national rally prepares its ranks. According to our Franceinfo colleagues, the party asked an external company to comb the profiles of its possible candidates on social networks.

300 potential candidates have been thus subject to an in -depth exam with “some problematic cases.” The company, whose name has not been revealed, observed on the Internet any trace of words considered racist, homophobic or anti -Semitic or conspiracy positions in international conflicts.

Traiss publications

This meticulous exam is aimed at avoiding the appearance of old content that can discredit RN candidates in the eyes of voters. The party does not want to relive the legislative elections of 2024, where several cases of “bad light sheep”, a term used by Jordan Bardella, had been seen among the candidates for deputies of RN. The words of a dozen candidates in the furthest part have significantly experienced a great impact on the media.

Social networks have proven particularly without traits for some of them. Media and Internet users have managed to dig up several problematic publications. This is particularly the case of an aspiring deputy of RN, caught in a photo posted on Elle’s Facebook with a Nazi cap.

Some members were also trapped for publications such as this Morbihan candidate who had written in X (previously Twitter): “Gas did justice to the victims of the Holocaust.” A northern candidate also left on his Facebook account openly Islamophobic publications, since 20 minutes had raised at that time. Other similar cases have been observed in the social networks of RN members.

In June 2025, nine deputies of parties were identified in a private Facebook group where racist, anti -Semitic and homophobic messages are published. The case was revealed in an investigation of the media on the days. Given the revelations of our colleagues in this group entitled “France with Jordan Bardella”, Sébastien Chenu, vice president of the national demonstration and the northern deputy had denounced “a political exploitation carried out on purpose.” Before adding that it is possible to join a group that has a title “without active consent”. The general secretary of the National Group Rally Rally in the National Assembly ended up asking all the deputies to leave several Facebook groups, without delay where racist comments were made.
