Google pays tribute to France in its scribble on July 14 drawn by Emilie Tronche, the creator of the series “Samuel”

Every day, Google illustrates its home page with a historical, iconic, circumstance or fun doodle. By July 14, the browser called Emilie Tronche, designer and creator of the “Samuel” series in Art, for a poetic and luminous illustration.

One day, an image, a story. When you go to Google every day, the search engine logo is often illustrated through a drawing, animation, an interactive mini-game sometimes, celebrating an event, a personality or a birthday. Released in 1998, shortly after the creation of the company, the American giant called this revised version of its Doodle logo.

There is at least one for practically every day, sometimes adapted to certain countries and users. This is the case with this July 14. For the famous national vacations, Google trusted Emilie Tronche.

Pays tribute to the memories of childhood and France of the villages

The home page embarks on Monday of an illustration of the designer with the characteristic leg. A poetic and contemporary form of marking the capture of the Bastille of 1789. Emilie Tronche, also famous for having given birth to the series Samuel Sur Arte finds his pencil to do this July 14 to the rhythm of children’s memories.

In its black and white minimalist style, as it is drawn by hand, you can see four children by bicycle, a wink also also in the Tour of France and this summer France of the bicycle, which walks at night to see an artificial fire, a characteristic element of the national holidays. As a gentle tribute and simplicity to France of peoples and memories, far from the usual eiffel tower of the day with its artificial fires.

The illustrator director also evokes the party and shares it under a starry sky, with a simple joy and a freedom of child. Each small protagonist seems to symbolize the emotions of the circumstances: wonder, camaraderie, celebration, all with a form of diversity. The word “Google” is integrated into the ground, in the wheels of the bicycles.
