Elmo’s X account, the flagship character of the American television program for children “Sesame Street”, was pirated to publish anti-Semitic messages and Anti-Donald Trump, said the program.
A series of messages that asked “to kill all the Jews” and call the US president “puppet” of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were shared through the red monster account followed by 650,000 users.
A archived version of account X showed that several messages had been published this Sunday afternoon. They were then eliminated, although a link to a telegram page apparently associated with piracy remained in the organic section of the account.
“Rephagnant messages”
Sesame Workshop, the non -profit organization behind “Sesame Street,” said an unidentified you pirate was at the origin of the messages.
“The account has been safe since then,” adds the same source.
