Almost three out of four American teenagers have already used “AI partners”, according to the NGO Common Sense Media, which worries the risks that these artificial intelligence attendees (AI) oriented to personal relationships can represent for minors.
Some “72% of adolescents have used colleagues at least once” and “more than half use these platforms several times a month”, determined the organization in a study conducted in spring in the United States and published on Wednesday, July 16.

Common Sense Media, an NGO that classifies films, video games and applications according to age to help parents and online safety campaigns, is concerned about the possible effects of the use of these “friends, confidants and even virtual therapists.”
The NGO highlights the tendency of these tools, it usually seems to agree with users, instead of encouraging them to think, which is problematic according to her at an age in which they develop their ability to think critically. “Several popular peak platforms, including the characters.
