“They do not want victory”: Rachida Dati takes another step towards a candidacy for the partial legislature in Paris

The Minister of Culture Rachida Dati plans to face Michel Barnier for the partial legislative elections in the 2nd District of Paris.

The partial legislative choice in the 2nd District of Paris continues to turn on the right. Former Prime Minister Michel Barnier announced his candidacy this partial legislative on Tuesday, after the forced departure of Jean Lassucq, his campaign accounts were declared inevitable by the Constitutional Council.

But the constituency also interests the Minister of Culture and the current mayor of the 7th District of Paris Rachida Dati. The latter did not formalize his candidacy, but requested an appointment of the Republican Inauguration Committee, according to several concordant sources in BFMTV.

“Rachida Dati is determined to be a candidate”

Rachida Dati also sent a letter to the members of Les Répudicins this Thursday. A document that attacks “those who have never fought a single fight alone, never took a single risk, never faced the opponent.”

“These always prefer to sabotage instead of building. Divide instead of gathering. They do not want victory. They prefer failure,” deplores, in a paragraph that seems to point to Michel Barnier.

According to a source in the Paris Council, Rachida Dati sent this letter “to dissipate any ambiguity and tell the Parisian activists next to him.” One way to say that “it is not just lantern.” “It is determined that Rachida Dati is a candidate,” said one of his relatives in BFMTV.

But his candidacy is far from unanimous in the ranks lr. “No one understands their logic. It seems to consider that Michel Barnier is an obstacle on the road to the City of Paris,” observes a party frame. Another personality LR describes this letter sent by Rachida Dati “incomprehensible”.

This week, the LR Federation of Paris published a press release that supported Michel Barnier’s candidacy, without the signature of the Minister of Culture. The party must meet on July 28 to invest its candidate for a ballot that must be held in September.
