Fifteen workers and a project manager were on the site, reported the daily life of people. The media invoked the rupture of one or more steel construction cables.
Hundreds of mobilized rescuers
The Jianzha bridge, in the Sichuan-Qinghai line, is the longest arch bridge with a metal paths with a double track in the world and the first of this type in the Yellow River, ensures the daily life of people.
Hundreds of rescuers, firefighters or police participated in rescue operations, said China Nouvelle.
Labor accidents are frequent in China, a huge country with innumerable sites and factories, but sometimes insufficient safety standards. Last December, 13 people disappeared after a collapse at the construction site of a large railway line in Shenzhen, a metropolis in the south. It had not been reported survivor.
