A new security problem for Telemassage. There was talk of this small request known last May, when Mike Waltz, National Security Advisor of the Trump Administration, accidentally revealed that he used it. It provides modified versions of encrypted messages as a signal or telegram for government companies and agencies.
More specifically, Mike Walz, which is behind the “Signalgate,” used the Telemassage version of Signal. However, it is far from safe. Because computer pirates use a fault already reported in the application to steal data from private users.
A defect actively exploited
The vulnerability in question, if it is successfully exploited by the pirates, would allow them to access “user names, passwords and other confidential data in Clear”, indicate to the researchers of the Graynoise cyber security company in a blog article transmitted by the TechCrunch specialized site. They noticed several attempts to exploit their own.
This, while the existence of this vulnerability was revealed in May. The American cybersecurity agency, CISA, also added it to its database that lists the security failures operated by the computer pirates. Despite this, piracy aimed at Telemassage users has not been publicly informed.
These revelations intervene while the application has already been pirate in the past. In May, a hacker managed to appear in about twenty minutes and obtain extracts of conversations, certain names and coordinates of US officials and policies or the data of certain customs workers.
