The Orange Telecommunications Group announced that it had been the victim of a cyber attack on Friday in “one of its information systems”, since it led to a disturbance of services by their “commercial customers” and “some consumption services mainly in France.”
Certain services and management platforms “will open again as it advances on Wednesday morning,” the group said in a statement on Monday night, without giving more details.
Complaint
Orange, who published his first semester results on Tuesday morning, says he has filed a complaint for “attacking his information system,” ensuring that “at this stage of investigations, no element suggests that our clients’ data or Orange would have been exfiltrated.”
“Immediately alerted, with the support (of its subsidiary specialized in cybersecurity) Orange Cyberdefense, the teams have fully mobilized to isolate the potentially worried services and limit the impacts,” the group said in its press release.
