WhatsApp continues your efforts to fight scams in their application. Meta messaging has announced two new functions for this purpose. The first offers a “prior security view” that appears when a user is added to a group that does not recognize.

This function is based on another implemented in July 2024 and that allows users to more easily identify strangers to add them to group conversations, showing key information.

The second function is a way of warning the user when it gets involved in a discussion with a stranger.
