Google Apple Portility grids a few weeks before your annual key note. In addition to the launch of his Pixel 10, the American giant also announced his Pixel Watch 4, which is the first clock connected to a SOS satellite communications system. As in Pixel 9, it will allow its user to communicate, if necessary, emergency services even when it is out of the network (cell or wifi). Rescuers can hurry at their location.
This function could occur in Ultra 3 Apple Watch in early September, and not only to contact emergency services. Users must also be able to communicate with their loved ones without mobile coverage or WiFi. As is possible on the iPhone 14 and the posterior models of iOS 18.
To date, Garmin is the only brand that offers a satellite communication service, and not directly in its connected watches, but through a case that allows you to contact emergencies, as well as your friends and family without a network.
A health coach
This is not the only novelty of The Watch 4 Pixel. The new Connected Google clock will also offer a personal health coach fueled by artificial intelligence. Designed with Gemini, he is described as “a coach, a sleep coach and a health and well -being advisor”, adapting according to user measures, but also their goals.
After questioning him about his preferences, his team and his objectives, the coach will offer him a program that includes in particular detailed training suggestions. The latter will adjust in real time from the data and certain circumstances provided by the user (back block, planned trip …).
The coach will also monitor sleep to identify trends and provide advice to improve it, in addition to a personalized program adapted to the daily activity level. Upon listening to the user, you can also answer user questions, such as “Should I sleep one more hour or play sports tomorrow morning?” Or “I’m stressed. What can I do?”
However, this health coach will not be accessible to all. A first version in October will be launched in the United States to begin. This training system, which is added to other health functions, such as sleep monitoring or pulse loss, will not be free either. Only Fitbit Premium subscribers (8.99 euros per month) will be entitled to him.
Price and availability of Pixel Watch 4
The 4 Pixel Watch is available for a previous order on Wednesday, August 20 and will be marketed as of October 9. Like the 3 pixel watch, it will be offered in two sizes (41 mm and 45 mm). It will also be sold at the same price, of 399 euros (41 mm in WiFi version).
