Support the user in the photo thanks to artificial intelligence. It is Google’s battle horse for years and its Pixel 10 has not escaped it. This Wednesday, August 20, the American giant announced its new range, which is available, as last year, in four models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro fold.
In addition to retouncing tools such as magical draft or “add”, the new Google smartphones benefit from two news fed by AI to help users to take quality shots. The first is a “photographic coach” who, thanks to Gemini, can analyze the scene and, therefore, make suggestions as the photographic mode that will be used (portrait, astrography, night …), but also to help find the best angle or the best lighting.
To this is added “best automatic intake” for group photos. Activating when Pixel 10 detects to take such a cliché, this function takes several photos and combines them to create only one in which everyone is in their benefit. A new function that seems to automate the old “better take” way that required taking several photos yourself before choosing the best profile of each person in the context. From now on, AI will understand that it is necessary to change the ráfaga mode to have the best of all.
Accent in AI
These new features are available in the four models thanks to the G5 tensioner processor, designed to offer the best of Google AI to users and that equips all new Google devices. This chip also allows to improve the zoom Pro -Idiota del Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. This can now reach up to X100 (against X30 for Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL) in high resolution, that is, without loss of quality.
In addition to the photo, the G5 tensioner feeds other functions, such as instant translation that is enriched with new calls in appeal, but also with Gemini’s help (suggestions for writing messages, find a restaurant according to certain criteria in Google Maps …).
If Google intends to offer a revolutionary performance of AI with this new processor, they will not be equal to the four devices. Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold will benefit from Google Tensioner G5 with 16 GB of RAM. Pixel 10 must be satisfied with 12 GB of RAM.
New range, almost even design
If the 10 pixel benefits from some software improvements, they barely change in terms of design with always three screen sizes (6.3 “For the Pixel 10, 6.3” for the Pixel 10 Pro and 6.8 “for the Pixel 10 Pro
In addition to a high angle sensor of 48 MPX and an ultra angle of 13 MPX, it now has an X5 teleobjective lens with a zoom of up to X20 in high resolution (X10 optical zoom). In the front, there is a 10.5 MPX Selfie camera, as in pixel 9.
The photographic piece does not change in Pro models, with a large angle of 50 MPX, an ultra large angle of 48 MP and a teleobjective lens of 48 MPX in the rear, and a 42 MP selfie sensor.
Similarly, for the 10 Pro Plate pixel, which barely changes with its external 6.4 -inch screen and its 8 -inch Old Old slab. But it can boast of being the first folding smart phone IP68 certificate (it can support an immersion of 30 minutes at 6 meters deep and dust), long before the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 or the Magic V3 honor.
Like its predecessor, it has a triple photo sensor in the rear (large angle of 48 MP, ultra-grade angle of 10.5 MP and a 10.8 MPX teleobjective lens) and a 10 MPX sensor in the front.
Magsafe faster wireless
Another interesting novelty: the four models in the Pixel 10 range now benefit from the Qi2 wireless recharge, more efficient than the Qi standard offered in Pixel 9. In addition to being more powerful, the Qi2 recharge also offers a faster recharge. But it is limited to 15 W in pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro fold, where it can have up to 25 w at the 10 pro xl pixel. Keep in mind that the charger is not provided.
The Qi2 wireless recharge is associated with a new magnetic technology similar to Apple Magsafe. Called Pixelsnap, it makes it possible to ensure that the smartphone is well placed to recharge thanks to a Magnet system in the back of the pixel.
Therefore, Google is embarking on many accessories to support its technology, from shells compatible with pixelsnap to the stand loader, which allows recharging the vertical or horizontally pixel.
But the manufacturer also has accessories in its bag taking advantage of the new magnetic system, such as pixelsnap ring support to hold the smartphone.
Price and availability of Google Pixel 10
The Google Pixel 10 will be available in black, grim white, lemon green and indigo blue. It will be marketed with 899 euros (with 128 GB).
Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will be offered in black, white, lunar and green porcelain. The first will be sold of 1,099 euros (128 GB) and the second of 1,299 euros (100 euros more than Pixel 9 Pro XL with 128 GB of storage).
The 10 Pro Fold pixel will be available in gray and green moon stone. It will be marketed with 1,899 euros (256 GB).
Taking advantage of seven years of Android and Security updates, the four smartphones can be reserved on Google.com and with partners. The first three will be available from August 28, while the folding smartphone will only be from October 9.
