Knowing how to highlight in a congested market is never an easy task. If it is not with revolutionary technology, sometimes it goes through collaborations with luxury brands, often justifying a price that flashes without an obvious reason that the association of two names.
Known for its televisions and premium speakers, the German Loewe decided to cause an impression when landing in the market with a helmet … announced between 90,000 and 120,000 euros. An unprecedented model designed with New York Jacob & CO jeweler to mix luxury codes and very high -end audio.
What surprises immediately is the design. Loewe designed two models called “Black Rainbow” and “Ice Diamond”. Each one has a 14 -class gold structure, established with dozens of multicolored sapphires or white diamonds (up to 15.97 carats). It is possible to customize this circle of stones that adorn the control wheel in each atrium. The hoop is also ultra resistant and comfortable. Each element of the helmet (pads, drums, transducer, etc.) is fixed magnetically and can be replaced.
Luxury meets high acoustic technology
And to perfect this luxury aspect, the helmets are delivered with a box that resembles a jewelry or watches box, with screen and drawers to store accessories (additional foam for more customization, load cable, transport box, etc.). A configuration that aims to delight high -level customers.
But if the price is justified at the beginning by design, inside, Loewe did not make stockings. The helmet has 50 mm transducers and offers optimal dynamic. We were able to try the audio quality and the sound that comes out is crystalline, detailed and well balanced. It is not allowed to embark on a bass too marked or a sound without relief. Each headset also benefits from an amplifier specially selected by Loewe for this product developed by recruited engineers of audio specialists (Bose, Apple, Sony, etc.).
The Loewe helmet is connected wirelessly with the latest Bluetooth high resolution standard or wiring, to different devices, and is compatible with all current codecs. It is also compatible with HI res (wireless and normal) and Dolby Atmos. Helmet with an intelligent active noise reduction (ANC), shows up to 75 hours of autonomy (without Anc activated).
AI as a real assistant on board
But if the product promises to “reproduce the best of acoustics” with a very high audio proposal, it is also anchored in modernity. It has an AI of the house that allows instant translation in several languages in front of a foreign interlocutor. Configuration of the Loewe application (which offers a listening calibration according to the shape of its ear), the AI can also become an real integrated vocal assistant, capable of announcing appointments and reminders.
The Loewe X Jacob & Co association is not the first to give birth to a high level ultra helmet. But it is one of the highest in the market in the same way as the Focal Utopia of Tournaire (120,000 euros) or the Sennheiser Orpheus He 1 (60,000 euros). However, these helmets did not have the integration of AI or diamonds to justify high prices. And with only five pieces for each of the two versions of the helmet, the rarity also justifies the price.
More than a Waouh effect, with this Loewe X Jacob & Co, the German manufacturer wants to compete with the best audiophile references in the market. It is true that not all buyers can pay between 90,000 and 120,000 euros to decorate their ears with this advanced audiophile luxury.
But if this product is presented as a showcase to speak, knowledge is there and we understand between the lines that could also be translated into a more affordable and general public product. An uncompromising adaptation about what Loewe’s renown did: premium design, comfort and acoustics. However, this should position this possible produced rather in the focal segment and other Bang & Olufsen in more than 1,000 euros than on the side of the “most affordable” helmets of Sony, Bose or Apple.
