On the occasion of IFA 2025, Dolby Laboratories announced a new important version of its HDR video rendering standard, Dolby Vision, released just over ten years ago. “At that time, the average diagonal of televisions was 40 inches in the United States and 32 inches worldwide, with an average brightness of 300 nits,” recalls Javier Foncillas, vice president of commercial associations and sales of Dolby laboratories, during a presentation in IFA. “These were the beginnings of 4K for the general public,” he continues to make people understand that, since then, things have changed, as evidenced by the first TV compatible with this new Dolby standard. A simple common base
