Donald Trump signed a decree on Tuesday to postpone until December 16 the deadline for a Tiktok sale by his Chinese parent company Bytedonce, under a penalty of prohibition in the United States.
This is the fourth time since January that the White House has extended the period of application of a law approved to the Congress that establishes the prohibition of the platform in the United States for lack of transfer.
This nth postponement occurs when Donald Trump announced that he had “reached an agreement” with China for the sale of the US subsidiary of social networks, Tiktok. In this field, many technology companies and personalities have been candidates, including a conglomerate led by Oracle.
The announcement occurs when China accuses US NVIDIA not to comply with its monopoly regulations. The meeting between Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, scheduled for Friday, can allow him to know the identity of the group that will keep Tiktok in the United States and even appease the strong commercial tensions between the two countries.
