After smartphones, connected watches or even cars, Gemini arrives in Chrome. Google announced the arrival of its artificial intelligence in its browser, to make it a “AI navigation assistant.” It will help users in many ways, especially when saving them.
An assistant in professional and personal life
Thanks to Gemini, a student, for example, would not have to spend hours sailing between different tabs and sources for a duty, because the AI will do it instead. “Gemini can answer questions about articles, find references in YouTube videos and soon help you find the pages you have consulted so you can resume exactly where you stop,” Google said in a blog article.
Within the browser, Google AI can also understand the context of user actions in several tabs and integrate into other services, such as Google Docs or Agenda.
In addition to research in the context of studies or jobs, Gemini can help Internet users in their personal life. Google is currently developing agent functions for your chatbot so you can perform tasks in several stages without altering the user.
“It will keep control while Chrome manages a tedious job, transforming 30 -minute tasks into a user route into 3 clicks,” said the company. On the name of the user, Gemini may, for example, order its careers, an attempt that the AI function in the background so that the user remains concentrated in what he does.
Smarter and safer research
Chrome’s address bar, called “Omnibox”, will also become smarter thanks to AI mode. Available in several countries (but not yet in France), this research method makes it possible to obtain an AI -based answer to a question and deepen the subject with additional questions. Internet users can now access it from the address bar.
The OMNIBOX may also offer research suggestions that will be “contextually relevant” compared to the page that a surfer consults. If he is looking for a mattress, for example, she will offer additional investigation such as “What is the guarantee policy?”
But for the moment, this novelty, such as the arrival of Gemini in Chrome, is not available in France. To start, they will only be implemented in the United States, in addition to the other doping functions in the AI available in the Google browser. Among them, some are destined to protect users to cybilators. Announced in May, one of these functions warns the user when one of his passwords has been compromised and offers to change it quickly.
Users also receive approximately 3 billion notifications of fraudulent websites and spam less every day thanks to AI warnings, according to Google. And the company plans to continue using it in this direction.
