When we discover the seven minutes of the film produced by the immersive flashback, which promises to discover, in an unprecedented immersion, the military parade of July 14, 2025, we are very far from imagining what we are going to see.
The helmet in the head, in the very elegant tea room at the Elysée House Museum, installed right in front of the residence of the President of the Republic, we are invited to discover a small place in the first place of L’Etoile, then along the Elysée fields, and then establish ourselves in the place of the Concorde in the presidential gallery, as if we had been the guest of this occasion.
Proximity thanks to a special camera
But before going down the Elysées Champs, we wait, in view in the first person, in the office of Emmanuel Macron. The effect is surprising. As soon as he enters the room to stand in front of the camera, he feels like being in front of him. Unique proximity.
The head of state was able to discover this experience with his wife, Brigitte Macron, in preview, a few days before his provision during the days of the European heritage.
At the origin of the project, Frank-David Cohen, director and founder of Immersive Flashback, and Sixtine Rose, producer. We are very proud of the project, which required long months of discussions and work to offer a sufficiently immersive representation for the viewer to have the impression of being there.
To carry out this incredible project, the immersive flashback uses a camera specifically designed for space shots and, therefore, for Apple pro vision. “We had access to a camera that is new, and that films in 8k per eye. It is so powerful that it gives the viewer the feeling of being teleported in the room,” Frank-David Cohen laughs at the Tech & Co microphone.
This camera is signed Blackmagic, is the Ursa Immersive Cinema, which, accompanied by the company’s house software (Davinci Resolve), allows you to mount “3D immersive” sequences.
This is not the first time that immersive flashback has been working on this project. The French company has collaborated significantly with Live Nation to present fans behind the scene of a Kyo group. Also being close to the President of the Republic is an unprecedented experience.
There is no right to error
Because the user equipped with the Apple helmet is projected along with the presidential couple, such as no television report, even filmed behind the scene, can do so. The feeling is particularly strange, a little disturbing too, because we can see some moments of complicity between Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron. This little affectionate gesture on the back that the president makes his wife in the presidential gallery, a television camera does not see it, while he who sees this seven -minute short film sees it.
Even in Elysée, the moment is necessary, although Emmanuel Macron is late: “Our cameraman had to run in the halls, fortunately a handshake, so that we can see the president lower the stairs and go by car.”
“A feeling of proximity”
Two months after filming, the project ends and the presidential couple is invited to discover it: “They said they had never seen that, that it was great and that they were delighted to offer the French this feeling of proximity.”
The immersive flashback is convinced of this, it is only the beginning and other collaborations are possible, explains Sixtine Rose. It remains to find the right event to cover.
If Emmanuel Macron has never hidden his appetite for new technologies, this little film is also a tremendous announcement for Apple’s vision. For the hundreds of people who could discover this surprising parade on September 21, the experience was “impressive.” Whether or not we appreciate the President of the Republic, we remain projected in the heart of power, but in an intimate position that only the pro -vision makes it possible.
And as Apple’s helmet is still inaccessible for many scholarships, the American company is paying here a free promotion far from being harmless, while product sales have been largely breathless since its launch in France in the summer of 2024.
The experience is free, accessible to all visitors to the Maison Elysée Museum.
