This Tuesday, October 21, is an important day for Samsung. In fact, the South Korean manufacturer is preparing to lift the veil on Project Moohan, its first XR (extended reality) headset. With the latter, it aims to inaugurate “a new era by launching a new category of devices dedicated to AI”, as stated in a press release published on October 15.
First announced in December 2024, Project Moohan will be “the first product of its kind developed for Android XR, an open and scalable platform,” Samsung teased, adding that it will “seamlessly combine everyday uses with new immersive experiences.”
Developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm, this platform will ultimately be used for headphones and glasses. During its annual developers conference last May, the American giant presented its future glasses powered by artificial intelligence to help users perform various tasks.
Where and when to follow the launch of the Moohan Project?
As Samsung announced a few days ago, the event dedicated to its first XR headphones, which will compete with the Apple Vision Pro, will take place this afternoon. It will start at 10 p.m. in the United States, or at 4 a.m. on October 22 in France.
For the impatient or the brave who are not afraid of fatigue, two options are offered to follow the event. Samsung will broadcast it live in its “Global Newsroom”, which brings together all its announcements. It will also be possible to see it on the manufacturer’s YouTube channel.
The Tech&Co editorial team will also offer coverage of the event with articles that will reveal all the details about these XR headphones starting Wednesday morning, the 22nd.
