Few video games can boast of it. The franchise Unexplored You will be entitled to an unexpected adaptation. The PortAventura theme park will open a roller coaster focused on the adventure game. The announcement was made via a short video posted on Twitter and seen by Eurogamer.
Expected for the middle of next year, the attraction promises a unique experience. Visitors to the Spanish park, located near Barcelona, will face a 700-meter circuit, reaching up to 12 meters in height. The roller coaster dedicated to the title developed by Naughty Dog will extend over 4800 square meters and will propel its passengers five times.
A treasure hunt as Nate
According to Variety, the park offers an immersive experience. The idea is to put the passengers in the shoes of Nathan “Nate” Drake, the hero of the game, and his partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan. The roller coaster route is a treasure hunt.
Earlier this year, Tom Holland played the adventurer Nathan Drake in the film adaptation of the video game by Sony, the maker of the PlayStation.
“After the enormous success of the film UnexploredWe are excited to see this entertainment franchise expand even further into exciting new spaces,” Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, told Variety.
Although the news seems new, other video games have had similar adaptations. Since 1983, Pac Man had the right to draw from him. Most recently, Nintendo opened its own theme park around the Mario character last year. An American version is even in the works for 2023.
