The Apple Watch SE 2 is Apple’s new affordable smartwatch and features several improvements over the previous Apple Watch SE. The watch uses the same S8 chip as the Apple Watch Series 8 and offers a 20% performance boost, as well as a new fall detection feature, in addition to the fall detection that was already present in the previous version. Still benefiting from a familiar design and available in Silver, Starlight and Midnight colours, it features a new composite material for the watch back, which is more environmentally friendly in its production and matches the rest of the case. The Apple Watch SE finally benefits from the new features of watchOS 9, including a new compass app, improved exercise tracking, and new sleep phase tracking.
