“I’m fed up.” Antoine Daniel and several streamers got angry this Sunday night at the end of ZEvent, a charity streaming marathon that has already raised more than 9 million euros for four associations working for the environment. And this for a video of Emmanuel Macron posted on Twitter at the end of the day.
In this video uploaded in selfie format, the President of the Republic congratulates the streamers for their mobilization “to limit emissions” of CO2 and “respond to climate disturbances that are already there.”
Emmanuel Macron also announces the upcoming organization in France of the BLAST TV Major Counter Strike, one of the most important events on the world electronic sports calendar.
But the video was not unanimous with some streamers, who did not appreciate seeing the Head of State rejoice at the success of ZEvent. Because already in 2021, Emmanuel Macron had made a video on Twitter to congratulate the streamers.
“There are some people who hate it”
“The promotion? The word is more propaganda… But it bothers me, we don’t ask for that!” he laments “I want people to know that, since the ZEvent, there are some people who hate it”, continues Antoine Daniel. “And it’s because of people like him, among others, that we do these events.”
Since 2016, ZEvent has brought together dozens of streamers each year to support a charity. After Save The Children, the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, the Pasteur Institute, Amnesty International and Action Against Hunger, five associations have been chosen this year.
So Sea Shepherd, Bird Protection League, WWF, Time for the Planet and Sea Cleaners will share the boat in 2022.
The AngleDroit streamer was also very vindictive. “Well, yes, you count on us, because you don’t burn anything! If only you had the means to do something! Shit!” he says, recalling that former Prime Minister Jean Castex used a plane to make the Paris-Prades round trip in April 2022 to go vote in the presidential elections.
