Apple’s mailbox is smarter and will get some simple but very useful features from competitor Gmail. Starting with the ability to schedule an email to be sent or canceled within 10 seconds of sending. Reminders seem to think about processing a received message. Mail will also alert you if you forget an attachment or recipient in a group message. The app is also enriched with an improved search engine for more accurate results promised, with suggestions as you type.
Crop a photo to share
iOS 16 adds a very simple feature, but one that will find its fans: image cropping (iPhone XS and later). The “Security Check” feature is finally coming up. It allows, from Settings, to quickly restore access to your iPhone and apps granted to other people, sometimes against your will. How to install iOS 16?
If you have not automatically enabled the download and installation of updates, you will need to do so manually. iOS 16 is quite heavy on downloading, prefer Wi-Fi connection or better yet download via your PC or Mac.
- Go to Settings > General > Software update to check if the update is available for your device.
- Click Download and Install. Enter your iPhone unlock code and agree to the terms of service.

What devices are compatible with iOS 16?
The new operating system reaches the brand’s latest iPhones, but it also reduces its list compared to last year. iPhone SE (1st generation), 6s/6s Plus and 7/7 Plus can no longer benefit from the update.
