Making the purchase online and receiving it at home has become something common today. But few French companies are in this sector today.
In this way, La Belle Vie tries to gain a foothold in the market, with an offer that combines classic consumer products but also an BIO range and homemade dishes to share. Paul Lê, co-founder of La Belle Vie was the guest of Tech&Co.
“It is very rare to become profitable in this sector”
With 25,000 customers throughout France, La Belle Vie is now positioned as one of the leaders in home delivery of purchases. “We want to consolidate our leadership position in Paris. It is very rare to become profitable in this sector, because we have very small margins,” says Paul Lê.
The success of this French start-up is explained, according to its co-founder, by “the attention paid to customers but also by the amount of fresh, organic, exotic and local products offered and delivered the same day”.
Finding “the right economic equation” between fast delivery and a developed offer remains one of the main challenges for this type of online store.
