This a cunning surprisingly simple and yet unrecognized by many. Sometimes it is difficult to correctly place a cursor on the correct letter or the correct word when writing an SMS or a note on a smartphone.
However, a process allows you to perform this operation without having to run your finger across the touch screen of your mobile phone. In fact, the “Space” bar of the latter can also perform this task. That’s how.
On an Android smartphone
Adjust the pointer to the desired location in the text. Then press and hold the “Space” bar on the virtual keyboard. There, with your finger, you can move the cursor to the left or right along the entire line.
The speed of the cursor movement varies depending on how fast you manipulate the “Space” bar. If you scroll slowly, you can easily place the pointer precisely on the desired word. You also have the ability to “hover” multiple terms at once by increasing the scrolling speed.
on an iphone
The operation is identical on smartphones with iOS. The only difference is cosmetic as in this case the entire keyboard, now grayed out, is used to move the cursor. A function assigned only to the “Space” bar below Android.
In addition, iOS offers an additional option to gain comfort of use. Once a text has been entered, it is possible to hold it down. Then a bubble appears just above it: it shows a magnifying effect for more precision.
