Unionized workers at the Tesla Gigafactory in Buffalo have filed a complaint with the US Labor Rights Bureau (NLRB).

On February 14, some Tesla employees formed a union, dedicated to the Buffalo Gigafactory. To defend their interests and publicize their demands, they took the initiative to create a Twitter account. Except that the owner of the social network is now Elon Musk, also head of the automaker.

A less accessible Twitter account

If in December the billionaire was offended by the use of the “shadow ban” (the fact of making certain accounts less visible) within the application before its acquisition, it seems that now he is doing the same, reports the American medium Vice. . This is at least what a complaint filed with the US labor law agency (NLRB) by the new Tesla union suggests. He thus reproaches Elon Musk for having reduced the visibility of the @united_tesla account.

The day after the union was created, the workers were alerted to the dysfunction of their account. It was impossible to find through searches on the platform and was only accessible through a link.

“After an online test, we discovered that our account had been ‘banned for search and suggestions’ on our employer-owned platform,” explains Zahra Lahrache, data annotation specialist for Autopilot, the self-driving vehicle system. Tesla.

Following the creation of the union, about thirty employees were fired within the Buffalo Gigafactory, specifies Vice. Among them was a member of the union’s organizing committee.
