The noose is tightening around TikTok. The Chinese application, accused of acting as an espionage agent by the United States, is now banned from the professional phones of several important international institutions such as the White House or the European Parliament.
In France, the National Assembly will also warn MPs about the security risks posed by certain apps, Tech&Co has learned. Without specifically targeting TikTok, the Question of the National Assembly, responsible for its administration, will thus launch a communication operation on the subject.

The Palais Bourbon will also relaunch its awareness sessions, carried out with Anssi (National Agency for the Security of Information Systems) with deputies, starting with members of sensitive parliamentary committees such as the Defense Committee.
In recent days, everything has accelerated around a possible banishment of TikTok in the United States. Already banned in the Senate and the House of Representatives, the app is also banned in the White House. The Canadian government and the Danish parliament have followed suit. Finally, the three main European institutions (Parliament, Commission, and Council of Europe) also banned TikTok on feature-enabled smartphones.
