For a better experience, LinkedIn brings together humans and artificial intelligence

The platform wants to use artificial intelligence to encourage its members to provide their expertise through “collaborative articles,” the new feature of the professional network.

Starting a conversation is harder than joining one. It is from this observation that LinkedIn envisioned “collaborative articles.” Officially launching this Friday, the new feature of the Professional Network is to generate an article that gets started using artificial intelligence and submit it to subject matter experts for their stories, advice and feedback.

The professional platform believes that it is easier to extract the knowledge of its members in this way and thus make it available to its users. The contributions of the specialists are left to the appreciation of all thanks to the addition of an “insightful” reaction, which will highlight the best entries, specifies the American site The Verge.

A use of logical AI

According to an email seen by The Verge, LinkedIn selected a group of experts to contribute their articles, explaining that it could bring them a better reputation and an increase in their subscribers.

At the moment, the medium indicates that the “collaborative articles” receive various receptions. While some appreciate excellent advice by contributing their experience, others have doubts about the statements of the experts or develop different opinions. But this divergence is also found in response to posts written by humans, says The Verge.

Either way, the use of artificial intelligence does not surprise LinkedIn. The parent company of the social network is none other than Microsoft. However, the computing giant has established a strong partnership with OpenAI, the company behind the AI-powered chatbot, ChatGPT.
